Scene News
Should any customers need their apple products repaired, Modz4gamers have just uploaded a new page which has details of the services we provide.
from team xectuer;
As promised we have defeated Corona. Full decrypted bootchain achieved and CPU key retrieved.
Xecuter does it again – 10 years and still rockin'. Greets to the haters.
More news soon – here's some screen shots of the NAND Dump – the box is still live so a few portions of info were blocked. However if you doubt this is real you should go to the back of the noob line.
This is great news for all the people with the new Corona motherboards that have not been about to use the reset glitch. Watch this space!
For those of you wanting to run Homrbrew software and backups from your Xbox 360, we are now installing the latest chip from Team Xecuter CoolRunner. This is enabled via a Reset Glitch also referred to as Jtagging. This enables Homebrew and unsigned software to run on the Xbox 360 such as new Dashboards and Emulators. Phone us for more information.
Modz4gamers is now located in Rockdale about 10min on the M5 from Backstown.

Official release of the iXtreme LT+ v3.0 for 0272/0225/0401/1071 slim Liteons
-
Support for topology data on AP25 enabled titles. Will correctly answer
any ap25 challenge eliminating need for dae.bin to create a backup.
- No need to make new backups everytime dae.bin is updated on console
- Extra support for rare firmwares
Topology Data
When
ap25 was first introduced I devised a way of calculating any challenge
which I called the silver bullet which I made reference to along time
ago.
This was withheld until it was absolutely necessary. It was easier to replay the fixed challenges.
With unique per console ap25 challenges it has become necessary to use the silver bullet.
A
series of measurements are taken across the disk. This topology data is
then used to calculate a response to any ap25 challenge.
It is very
important that the drive used to create the topology data is reliable at
reading discs as bad topology data equals bad ap25 responses.
Liteon
drives using 0800 v3 seem to be more accurate for this purpose. Only
ap25 enabled titles require topology data. Activation of ap25 on older
non-ap25 games although technically possible is highly unlikely.
Currently
topology data for xgd3 titles are similar and topology data from one
xgd3 title will pass on another xgd3 title although this is not
advisable.
Per title title topology data is best as there are slight
differences between titles and newer titles could have different
topology than existing ones.
One liteon to go and four Hitachis. Have a great year everyone.
Thanks go to Team Jungle and all testers for their hard work and efforts in the development process.
Thanks also go to Team Xecuter for their support to this project.

Modz4gamers recommends people do not do this update until the new LT3.0 firmware comes out.
From ABGX - 18/11/11
DAE.bin is being silently updated through Xbox Live with an additional challenge table! This happens on the current public dashboard version 2.0.13604.0 and there is no confirmation dialog or any known means to prevent it besides disconnecting your console from the internet.
If your DAE.bin has already been silently updated, AP25 backups that are patched with current AP25 replay data will fail the normal AP25 challenges outright! Note that all XGD3 games use AP25.
Use your originals if you want to play on Xbox Live.
*Update* More about it from c4evaspeaks.com:
First and foremost, a warning — at this current time it is advised that you stay offline and avoid playing any AP2.5/XGD3 backups. It has been confirmed by the team that the dae.bin is now being silently updated on all LIVE-connected boxes.
This update is not being deployed via a SystemUpdate or TitleUpdate, but rather occurs in the background without any visual indication or prompt to the user. As such, there is no means by which it can be cancelled or avoided, other than not connecting to LIVE. If you’ve connected to LIVE in the past 24 hours, your system has likely already been updated with a changed dae.bin.
All AP2.5/XGD3 backups that contain the now older AP25 replay data will fail the system’s AP2.5 challenges and indeed flag your system (the flagging has also been confirmed by the team).
Like our news a few days ago, the dae.bin is now being changed by way of an appended challenge table in the same manner on current retail dashes (13604) as it is on the preview dash (14686), however the content of the challenge tables differ. The team has determined that the appended challenge table appears to be unique per console and contains indentifying information. This means that everyone’s dae.bin is different, and can potentially be traced back to your specific console. Therefore, sharing your dae.bin with others is not advisable.
When this update comes out (when prompted to update) we recommend our customers stay off Xbox Live until we see what changes are coming with this update. Its already been seen as stated below that this update will affect some of the AP25 & AP26 games.
We’ve confirmed that the dae.bin has changed in the new Xbox 360 Fall 2011 Preview Dash (2.0.14686.0). c4eva has reported to the team that XGD2 and XGD3 backups are still booting under LT+ v2.0/2.01 (from team channel: [2011-11-10 08:58PM UTC] [c4eva] backups,xgd3 still booting). However, do not take this as a sign that everything is fine. Booting backups with older AP25 replay sectors on 14686 may get you flagged. Don’t say we didn’t warn you! We can confirm though that these changes will indeed necessitate new versions of and/or changes to Xbox Backup Creator, abgx360, and several other associated tools. It has also been confirmed by the team that drive fw’s are not affected. All the changes are currently being analyzed, and we’ll continue to update this post when further details become available.

Xbox 360 AP25 Games
If you are on old firmware and are having issues running the games below it could be due to the new AP25/AP26 security that M/S has implemented
(i) Assassins Creed Brotherhood
(ii) Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
(iii) Call of Duty Black Ops
(iv) Fable 3
(v) Need for Speed Hot Pursuit
Originals of these games will not work. If you are having problems with these games you either need to be on 1.91+LT or if have these games and are not having any issues. Don't update your Xbox 360 via live or disc.
Xbox 360 iXtreme LT+ 1.91 Firmware
There is new firmware which just came out today to fix the issues with AP25 and AP26 Challenges on liteon, Benq and Hitachi Drives. The challenges were causing issues on AP25/AP26 games if you updated your dashboard to 13146 and higher. Usually you would get a black screen or xbox lockup if you tried to load one of these games.
If you went on Xbox live with a AP25/AP26 game it could be that your Xbox is also flagged for banning if and when the ban hammer comes down again.
Official release of the iXtreme LT+ v1.91
*
New random AP26 challenges defeated. Due to the new AP26 random
challenges the safety freeze for unknown or bad AP25 data is no longer
supported.
Please ensure your AP25 data is correct for the dashboard version you are using.
* No need to reburn current AP25 backups from dashboard 13146
I would like to dedicate this fw to all the dead DG-16D4S drives from the kamikazi hack
Thanks go to Team Jungle for their hard work and efforts in the development process.
Thanks also go to Team Xecuter for their support to this project.

iXtreme LT To Be Released Shortly
We have supported C4E and Team Jungle for some time now and it is so ridiculous to us when we see so much garbage and drama being posted around on different forums. First we see some sites trying to sell iXtreme LT for stupid amounts of money, then the price goes in half then it doubles then it shows as out of stock? Then of course everyone bitches about C4E even though this wasn't his idea and these guys also forget that the iXtreme firmwares are his work and no one else's - he owes nothing to no one. He should be lauded with credits and support not with bitching and whining, I'm surprised he even bothers any more but we also know how much he loves to do this work. It really is pathetic to see some fools post crap like that, but i guess the console scene never changes does it.
Now we see attempts at "cracking" a pre-release demo version of the LT firmware and people trying to gain credits and "pats on the back" for this work. All we can say is - we've looked at both firmwares - the real Lt and the leaked one. Take our advise - don't use the leaked incomplete version and connect to Xbox Live.
We developed bios's for many years and know how much time and effort it takes to do this kind of work - we fully support C4E in all the work he does and as members of the scene we thank him for it.
Anyway the guys at Team Jungle have updated their Twitter page with this info:
"iXtreme LT will release shortly as promised. Unofficial files are incomplete and unsafe. Protection was to prevent unofficial use!"

Halo 3 - ODST
First things first, Halo 3 ODST shows the events of Halo 3 through the eyes of an ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper). You are no longer a 7ft tall Spartan Super soldier, rather you’re one of the little humans you discarded once upon a time while playing as Masterchief. Boo hoo! Enemies that were once tiny in the eyes of Masterchief are now big obstacles for you to overcome and enemies which were big even for Masterchief are now Epic and take some strategic game play to get around
If you liked Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST may come as a tad of a disappointment at first. Of course, you soon realise that you’re no Masterchief and you can’t just go in and take on your enemies’ commando style. No more guns blazing, the trick is to play stealthy. Game play is obviously different and that takes some getting used to, but that aside. You will thoroughly enjoy playing as one of the little guys only if you don’t die that often (as with all games) and you learn how to flank the enemy.
There’s a big jump from Easy to Casual and if you aren’t an expert gaming gunsman then we would suggest you ‘practice’ on Easy first before you choose to take on the biggies on Casual. What made this essentially different to Halo 3 game play was the ODST health which doesn’t regenerate like Masterchiefs or the Arbitors. You have some sort of force field which does help but not enough, because when you sustain damage that part of your health, it is down until you acquire a health pack, which are scattered throughout the game. The ODST helmet comes in very handy when there are dark places which are helpfully underlined in light and because the majority of the game is lacking in brightness and it is pretty awesome when you can just hit the X button and yay! You’re not blind anymore. The ODST visor also outlines enemies in red and friendlies in green which assists you throughout the game in many ways you thought impossible.
Overall this game would get an 8.5 out of 10 from Modz4Gamers as we feel that although it was an awesome game, there could be areas which could be improved on. The concept is ingenious but you would think that the reason why we all play Halo is to become Masterchief. We know that the Halo series is a multi-layered and very complicated game series, however we can’t get past the fact that we aren’t playing as Masterchief and although the game play took a bit of getting used to, it was fun however not as gripping as Halo 3. Now, waiting on Halo 4.
Ghostbusters The Video Game
It's good. If you're a fan of Ghostbusters (and maybe even Ghostbusters 2), that's all you needed to know, so you can go out and grab your copy without worrying that you'll have to tread through bad game mechanics just to get a few good laughs. If for some reason you're a newcomer to the franchise, that's OK too. Ghostbusters The Video Game is a humorous and amusing third-person action-adventure with some clever mechanics and loads of personality. It's not all pleasurable, due to some tedious mechanics and other issues, but if what's most important to you is some lighthearted fun, then you'll find enough in this package to keep a smile on your face. Click for more on Ghostbusters
Mafia 2
Fans of the 2002 PC game Mafia agree that the game never got its due. It was an open-world mob drama with third-person action, driving, an outstanding soundtrack, and a memorable story (and a not-as-fondly-memorable frustrating car race that was later corrected with a patch). But 2K Czech and 2K Games are gearing up for Mafia II, a sequel to the unappreciated crime drama with a new look, enhanced engine, better driving, deadlier shootouts, and a brand-new story. We had a chance to see the game up close and personal, and we have much to report. Click for more on Mafia 2
Ninja Blade
When an action game lets you dress up in pink pinstripes before carving up hordes of gruesome mutants, you know it doesn't take itself seriously. Ninja Blade is such a game, but it's so ridiculously over the top, so rambunctiously insane, that it's hard not to get a total kick out of it. It's an uneven game, both technically inconsistent and derivative to the bone. And yet Ninja Blade maintains a breakneck pace while throwing you into one preposterous scenario after another until you need to catch your breath, simply because the onscreen action is so absurdly and graphically dazzling--or because you're laughing so hard you've almost peed yourself. So don't expect deep combat, extreme visual prowess, or a finger-breaking challenge. Instead, just prepare for a bunch of good, frivolous fun that will keep you entertained in spite of some noticeable flaws. The combat is not that deep in this game, however it does have great visuals including flashy sword play. There are some great battles to keep you satisfied in this game aswell.. Devil May Cry meets Ninja Gaidens cross Dressing Brother.
Resident Evil 5
Thirteen years ago, Capcom helped revolutionize the action-adventure world with Resident Evil, a game that would define an entirely new genre dubbed "survival horror." In the years that followed, the series continued to build upon the standards set by the first game, until 2005, when Resident Evil 4 radically departed from its predecessors and broke new ground as a more action-oriented game. Resident Evil 5, the latest offering in the long-running series, expands on the action-heavy formula of its forerunner and is built from the ground up to support cooperative gameplay. Though it can no longer be considered a survival horror game, Resident Evil 5 manages to retain and effectively translate the most important aspect of that genre--tension--into its new mechanics, crafting a fun, collaborative experience that will keep you on your toes the entire time.
